This is probably the reason why I don't have much interest with Puerto Galera, Boracay, Siargao, etc. Marinduque is an underdeveloped province. If only our local officials can do something about it so we can attract more tourists thus more money for the country. My brother Tope went to Galera just last month and he told me that a local computer shop there earns a lot because customers are mostly foreigners and if not, they're from manila paying more than what the service was worth. I can still recall when I had a shop in Marinduque, that my initial rate there was Php 40.00 per hour. Eventually, I had to lower the rates to Php 20.00 because of competition. (I know, i know, I was not a good entrepreneur because I could have focused on the quality of the service hehehe - that's why I am an employee now, learning the basics of a business).
These shots were taken in Lupac where my Tita, Tita Annie, bought a small piece of land just in front of the shore. Her friend, which was also German (my tita is a German citizen now), is now living there who also bought a piece of land and built a very elegant but simple house. The place was amazing. You can stay there all day, rest, and enjoy the serenity. The piece of land was entitled to my father and Tita Annie and her husband Tito Klemens was willing to let me develop the place (build a house, resort, business, or something) but of course I needed money and the money that's being generated by my small business in town was not enough.
Dami kong nasusulat dito. I hope I can keep up with this for a long time.
